Urge Gov. Rauner to Sign Tobacco 21 Bill!!

SB 2332, or Tobacco 21, would raise the minimum age to purchase ALL tobacco products from 18 to 21 years old. This legislation was just sent to Governor Rauner for his consideration. He needs to hear from you NOW!  Please send a message and urge Governor Rauner to sign SB 2332 – T21.

Smoking kills more than 18,000 Illinois adults each year. Research shows that approximately 95 percent of adult smokers begin smoking before they turn 21, and about 80 percent first try it before age 18. By increasing the age to 21, we decrease access to tobacco products for teens and can stop the next generation from ever starting.

The time is now for Illinois to raise the minimum age to purchase tobacco products to 21! Act now and urge the Governor to sign Tobacco 21 into law!
