A Letter From PP4H Member Anthony Williams
Dear family and friends, On Wednesday, October 9, 2019, Byron and I will begin a journey to the southern boarder to join hundreds of ordinary people in solidarity to peacefully protest our country’s immigration policies. We both serve as board members of an organization called the Coalition for Spiritual and Public Leadership (CSPL). CSPL advocates the spirit of the gospel being incorporated into the policy-making of country on all levels of government. In this cause, we will be joining hundreds of like-minded people from around the country in letting our leaders know that the current treatment of immigrants is inhumane and unacceptable. We will kick off our Chicago departure with a mass at Holy Name Cathedral at 5:15 pm on Wednesday, October 9th. The mass will be celebrated by Cardinal Cupich. Following the mass, we will have a blessing before departure. We invite you to join us at the mass and blessing. Parking is available at Moody Bible. If you are unable to join us in person, please pray for our safe travels. Most importantly, pray for all of those who seek refuge from across the world from living conditions that are reprehensible. Let us all get off the sidelines and advocate for social justice in all matters! God be with you all. Much love, Anthony and Byron
